Please vote for the whole list 1. Only by voting for the whole list you will allow our team to keep the maximum coherence and work for you efficiently !

This list equitably reflects the composition of the EEAS. These experienced candidates commit themselves for the long run. We are a team that is just like you, that listens to you, understands you and that will firmly represent and support you.

We ask for your trust and support because our sole commitment is to the interests of all staff.

 

 

Who votes ?

The EEAS staff, in headquarters and delegations.

Commission staff in delegations are not electors. They vote in separate elections for the Outside Union local Staff Committee (linked to the Commission Central Staff Committee).

In a separate process, the Delegation staff (both EEAS and COMMISSION staff) elect Local Staff Representatives (LSR) in each Delegation.

WHOM ARE WE ELECTING ?

We are electing the Staff Committee of the EEAS.

The Staff committee is a statutory body. It must be set up at each EU institution according to the Staff Regulations.

At the EEAS, Staff Committee is elected every three years and consists of 20 full and 20 alternate members.

All staff categories must be present on the staff committee.

WHAT IS A ROLE OF THE STAFF COMMITTEE ?

The Staff Committee:
- represents the interests of the staff vis--vis their institution
- maintains continuous contact between the institution and the staff
- provides a channel for the expression of opinion by the staff
- consults the relevant body about any problems with implementation of the existing rules;
- presents suggestions concerning the organisation and operation of the service
- proposes the improvement of staff working conditions or general living conditions.

In short the Staff Committee is about Your interests, Your values and Your impact to make EEAS the best working place, if not on the planet, than at least in Brussels and in hundreds of EU missions around the globe!

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TRADE UNIONS AND STAFF COMMITTEE ?

The Staff committee ensures the correct implementation of the rules. Trade Unions negotiate new rules or changes to the existing ones.

WHY SEVERAL LISTS ?

Any trade union or individual can present a list for elections providing that it respects the requirements of the setting up of the Staff Committee.

FOR WHICH LIST TO VOTE ?

Pay attention to:

- experience of the candidates
- the composition of the list (where all staff categories are represented equally and proportionally, gender balance, regional representativity)
- and above all: are the unions united on this list really active throughout the year ? (avoid those who only wake up during elections...)

WHY TO VOTE ?

We want to have a staff committee representing our interests. Let's elect the best team and the best people for this goal! Even if some of us will stay at the EEAS shorter than others, you still have a chance to improve it and make it the best employer!

WHY TO VOTE FOR LIST 1 AND NOT FOR CANDIDATES FROM DIFFERENT LISTS ?

Simply because the List 1 presents a team ready to work together in the interest of staff, and that will not waste time in internal battles between trade unions.

POUR QUOI VOTONS-NOUS ?

Nous lisons le comit du personnel du SEAE.

Le Comit du personnel est un organe statutaire. Il doit tre mis en place dans chaque institution de l'UE, conformment au Statut. Au SEAE, le comit du personnel est lu tous les trois ans et se compose de 20 membres titulaires et 20 membres supplants. Toutes les catgories de personnel doivent tre reprsents au comit du personnel.

QUEL EST LE RLE DU COMITE DU PERSONNEL ?

Le comit du personnel:
- Reprsente les intrts du personnel vis--vis de l'institution
- Maintient un contact permanent entre l'institution et le personnel
- Fournit un canal pour l'expression de l'opinion du personnel
- Consulte les organes comptents en cas de problmes d'application des rgles existantes;
- Prsente des suggestions concernant l'organisation et le fonctionnement du service
- fait des propositions pour l'amlioration des conditions de travail du personnel ou des conditions de vie en gnral.

En bref, le Comit du personnel traduit vos intrts, vos valeurs et imprime votre contribution pour faire du SEAE le meilleur lieu de travail, si pas au monde, au moins Bruxelles et dans les centaines de dlgations de l'UE dans le monde entier!

QUELLE EST LA DIFFRENCE ENTRE SYNDICATS ET COMITE DU PERSONNEL ?

Le comit du personnel assure la mise en uvre correcte des rgles.
Les syndicats ngocient de nouvelles rgles ou la modification de celles existantes.

POURQUOI PLUSIEURS LISTES ?

Les syndicats ou les individus ont le droit de prsenter une liste aux suffrages des lecteurs, la condition qu'elle respecte les exigences rglementaires.

VOTER POUR QUELLE LISTE ?

Faites attention :

- L'exprience des candidats,
- La composition de la liste (si toutes les catgories de personnel sont reprsents galement et proportionnellement, quilibre entre les sexes, reprsentativit rgionale)
- et surtout : les syndicats unis sur cette liste sont-ils rellement actifs tout au long de l'anne ? (vitez ceux qui se rveillent uniquement lors des lections...)

POURQUOI VOTER ?

Nous voulons avoir un comit du personnel qui reprsente nos intrts. lisons la meilleure quipe et les meilleures personnes pour atteindre cet objectif ! Mme si certains d'entre nous ne resteront pas longtemps au SEAE, vous avez ici une chance de l'amliorer et d'en faire un meilleur employeur !

POURQUOI VOTER POUR LA LISTE 1, et non pour des candidats de listes diffrentes ?

Tout simplement parce que la LISTE 1 prsente une quipe prte travailler ensemble dans l'intrt du personnel, et qui ne perdra pas de temps livrer des batailles internes entre  syndicats.

 

When will we vote ?

The vote is possible from 7 March (11:00 a.m., Brussels time) to 17 March (11:00 in the morning, Brussels time)

Depending on whether the quorum was reached or not, a prolongation period might be opened.
